This site is produced by the (voluntary) Hood Users Group to represent the wide range of private, recreational, public and commercial activities and groups that use this aerodrome.

Aviation History

‘Remembrance Day’ WWI Air Show at Hood Aerodrome
 2.00pm – 5.00pm  Saturday 9th November 2013
2.00pm – 3.00pm Flightline walk and talk to the pilots –  A chance to look at and photograph the aircraft up close and ask the pilots all those niggly questions!
3.00pm – 4.45pm Air Show Featuring The Vintage Aviator’s WWI collection of originals, reproductions and replicas with a special commemorative focus on New Zealand pilots who flew with the RFC during WWI.

4.45pm – 5.00pm Pilot talk – topic yet to be decided. What do you want explained? Join our Facebook site to add your suggestions!
