- Sport Aircraft Association NZ (Inc), generally referred to as ‘SAA’.
This organisation is the successor to AACA (Amateur Aircraft Constructors Association) launched back in 1953, the Homebuilders’ club. Homebuilders have been strong at Hood Aerodrome in the past and there are still few of their aircraft operating here.

RAANZ are a nation wide organisation authorised by CAA to manager microlight pilot training and licencing, and aircraft maintenance.
